About the Artist:
Ian Cruz is Baltimore Native who has lived the majority of his life in Arbutus Maryland.
Also living a number of years in Ecuador and various Burroughs in New York city.
He is accompanied by his Wife Renata Castillo and Dog Amelie.
With only a short stint in MICA. He has no real Art education backing his work, although he does not see that as negative attribute. His works are direct, cutting and at times visceral. Channeling great works of music into oil images on canvass, the process is almost meditative or as though a hypnotic trance. Where he lets whatever entity trying to pass through, move freely to our plane of existence.
